 Innovative Behaviour

"Innovation is the introduction of a new behavior in the repertoire of one or more individuals that may be, for example, a solution to a new problem, an ecological discovery, or an existing signal used for a new purpose."

(Kummer and Goodall, 1985)

 Opening doors or gates

We are asking for cases in which horses have to open a lock or push down a handle to open a door or gate, no matter which door and whether it breaks out or into places. Please do not add examples of horses opening or pulling down fences. We may ask about abilities to “deal with fences” in a follow up questionnaire.
